Patrick Towles was 13th.

I dont think Pat Towels was an elite 11 finalist, so we can wrap up that comparison.

 

You're right, passing camp vs head to head and state championships, it's no contest.

No matter how you spin this, this is a very impressive endorsement. There is no such thing as a sure thing recruit or sure thing rookie QB in the NFL for that matter. However, when you perform as well as Zeke did at a camp like this, and gets praise for his on the field and off the field actions, you have to be impressed.

 

I realize Zeke has many detractors, some of it deserved, however a rational person has to be impressed with this type of recognition. It literally puts him in the top 1 percent of HS football players graduating in 2012. No matter what that's impressive.

I'm sure when Clyde started this thread it was to recognize the accomplishments of Zeke. It's amazing that you felt it necessary to drop Patrick Towles's name. Ease up "Big Fella" Pat is a great kid and is no threat to you or anybody at Dixie. I'm sure if Pat saw ya or found out who you were he'd come over and give ya a big hug and say "Wingman96", "how's it going." Highland plays Dixie this year I think. After the game drop by and get a picture with Pat. I'm sure he will sign it, "to my main man Wingman96."

I guess we should simply write it off as "fans being fans" but the Zeke/Pat sniping is tiresome.

 

I'm going to sit back and enjoy watching both. We dont see it very often. I guarantee you the attention those two are getting is helping others behind them.

Was Pat in Malibu as one of the top 24 in the country? Just will never understand why some just can't give props when props are due. Zeke and Pat are both great athletes and we should all be proud that TWO outstanding QB's from NKY were invited to this very prestigious competition. Great honor for both young men. Kudos to both of these guys.

The Elite 11 competition was shown on ESPNU this past Friday. My guess is you can catch it this week. The 2nd half of the show will be this Friday.
