Basketball season for 2011/2012 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Grant County? Remember, please be constructive.

Really? I hadn't heard that yet. They still have some strong guard play returning. Coach Hicks and staff will have them playing at a level above where most think they should be. For what its worth, I heard they played very well over the summer.

I guess I was leading into this question. Does anyone else think it's a red-flag that a close relative of the former coach, and a member of a family closely tied to Grant County for a long time is transferring?

 

Could be nothing. But from an outsider looking in, it appears maybe some longstanding natives may not like what they're seeing in Braves country.

Sandman - the younger Kinmon that's transferring is a half brother to the older Kinmon that was a coach. As for red flags and people not liking what they're seeing in Braves country, that's more accurate than people want to believe!

Do you know this to be fact or is it only your opinion? I think it is pretty clear what is happening. New coach, new system, moving on!

If any of you have watched Grant County games you would know that Coach Kinmon has been in full support of Coach Hicks. They talk on a regular basis and Kinmon even had the gym floor done before Coach Hicks arrived. Don't read to much into one player transferring.

Why academic reasons of course? The previous three years of high school have obviously not met his academic needs.

Since Kinmon is leaving ,Who will they look to to do their scoring?
