I've seen some talk about MLB realignment and was curious to hear people's thoughts. I've seen multiple scenario's but here are the three most common.

 

Scenario A:

Arizona moves to the AL West, Houston moves to NL West.

 

 

Scenario B:

Houston moves to AL West

 

 

Scenario C:

Either Arizona or Houston moves, divisions are obsolete.

 

 

Thoughts on these scenario's? Others you might have seen? What realignment would you choose?

I think a team that can easily go to the AL West makes the most sense and seems to be the common thinking from what I'm reading.

 

Plus, Selig isn't going to want his favorite team headed back to the more difficult AL.

I think this is the most practical. It creates and instant Rangers v Astros rivalry which the Astros need.

Bingo. There was no reason to move them in the first place, he sure as heck isn't going to send them back.

As a Marlins fan I'm not so sure. Tampa and Philly are close to canceling each other out. And the future probably is brighter in Tampa than in Philly. I also think getting rid of the Mets is a huge loss...

I've seen Florida to the AL as well...a move I do not support.

 

If they keep divisions that move makes the least sense as it will require a lot of shuffling among teams.

Plus Tampa Bay. I think they could win with AL Central or AL West.
