All-state teams announced

Congrats to the ones honored and also to Griffin Joiner, Ms. Softball.

Thanks for the link. Glad to see Amy Haggard, George Rogers Clark on the list. Also 2 from Montgomery Co. 3 from the 10th region. Congrats to all the girls!!!.

Congrats to Walton Verona JR Jenalee Ginn. 1st team 1A for second straight year. Way to go Bearcats

Congrats to all the NKY kids on the list, very neat to see. To bad there is another girl from NKY who lead the area with a .603 ba and 9 homers and who is one of the best defenseive players in the state who did not get nominated by her coach. With those numbers you would think NKY could have had 1 more player on that list.

Who???

Congrats to Jenalee Ginn from WV for making it two years in a row.

Best player in NKY.

Morgan on the list from SK = that leads to a question of the credibility of this team.

I think Cassie is the best all round player in NKY, but IMO only.

Best player in NKY.

Totally agree. Pitches, plays shortstop and hits well. She can play any position. :thumb:

Who???
Moran from Holy Cross. Possibly the best player in NKY and potential D1 player. Unfortunately, for many reasons, softball seems to be a sport that many talented kids get overlooked in certain parts of Kentucky, especially NKY, where many talanted kids can get lost in the shuffle because they are not a pitcher or play on a very below average team. As I have seen many "Top 100 KY player" lists, all region teams, etc.... about 60% of those lists are accurate. The other 40% are not even close, as I have seen most of these players. I have seen players make all region teams from other regions that play behind much less heralded players on their travel ball clubs. I am sure that SSC would agree with me on this.

I have to confess I have never seen her play. WV did not play Holy Cross and they were never at any tournaments I have been at but hard to argue against Ginn for all around effectiveness.
