Henry County has had as much success under this administration as they ever have in the past. They are just not at a point yet that a winning season year in and out is a given, but they will get there, they also lost alot of talent from last year and most highschool coaches don't want to be put in that situation, they more often leave for greener pasture win they see potential for a rough season or two.

I feel sorry for this team for many reasons but the coaching situation is sad, I can't remember a time when Henry County only had 3 coaches.

Over the past 10 years there have been many good assistant coaches at Henry County why can't they get any now is it the new coach, administration or the schedule?

This is a program that was really close to getting over the hump. I personally think that success was in spite of the administration. Now that a good run of coaches and kids are gone, its gonna be an uphill struggle.

I have heard that Coach I. has been given the job of coaching both the offensive and defensive lines for the Wildcats. If this is true, it seems a bit unfair to everyone involved, players and coach. You can't learn this stuff overnight.

Wasn't he the JV Coach last year? What happened to Coach Dawson? Did he not stick around? Also heard that a former Owen/Gallatin Coach might be joining Henry's staff. Any confirm?

Sounds like the coaches are trying to find the right fit for each involved. As said before, they need coaches, but the ones there now won't make excuses and will put in the time required.

It's probably not that hard to campare the records of athletic programs under previous administrations and this one. All I am saying is, I know these guy's want the best in all the sports, and without doing much research I can tell you they have improved at all levels.

Regardless of your opinions, gotta root for this team, I got interested in them with a good freind and mentor of mine coached there, I hope they get it right in Henry. Has anyone got an update on Coach Johnsons health? Thoughts are with him and the wildcat family.

He just finished a tough round of chemo and he says he is feeling pretty good.

The one Henry Co. program that seems to have not moved forward is girls basketball. Coach Gilley has had some tough years and will have more. What is the problem? Other programs are getting good numbers of athletes out and posting good progress. Baseball, football, track, golf all are doing well.

1st question, no. But they have definitely took a step back the last year and a half after becoming a contender in Football. JMO.
