If the question is about reporters that run scouting businesses I know all of the national guys for Scout, Rivals and the top guys at ESPN all do both. Daniels, Snow, Bossi, Meyer, Telep and so on run scouting services with D1 programs from coast to coast as clients...

Not everyone can make all dates, so someone is going to get left out no matter what, but Jim mentioned the Yank or Jays series so maybe just go with that weekend? If people can make it, GREAT! Sounds like an interesting job. I guess I'm just don't consider that to be scouting if a team isn't asking you for your input on a regular basis. Heck, I'm a scout then. I read all of the sites.

Yes. And it is not a lucrative business at all. Mostly a direct result of the NCAA cracking down on evaluation time and the coaches turning to the people who are on the road and legit in what they do. Going rate that I know of is about $500/year per school that subscribes to the service at the very top end. Really nothing more than a supplement to the work they were already going to be doing while on the road working anyway while the coaches are forced to sit it out.

Well I'm not sure who would be coming with me. May bring Big Spikes for old times sakes if he's down but I don't know he's coming back from an internship from Canada and may not be up to it. Not sure any of my other friends that would want to come to a get-together would be down through the week, most of them have jobs that would prevent them. But, most likely I'd be down. :thumb:
