Well of course you don't. With all due respect westsider, you don't see it as extremism because you tend to side with them. Kind of natural I suppose.
I don't always side with the left ... but you're free to assume so if you wish. I primarily challenge right-wing extremism here ... there are times it needs to be challenged.

I have no problem with you challenging anything, it's just I can't ever remember a time you've challenged the left.

I'm challenging extremism, RTS ... where is the lefty extremism here?

Again, you don't see it because you agree with it. You were on here when Bush was president, there was a ton of it then, you remained silent, except when you were part of it.

Where was the extremism? What extremist views were espoused?

The vast majority of my Bush-bashing was over Iraq ... it wasn't like I was blasting him on every single issue. That certainly isn't the case on this board with Obama. And there was plenty of far-right stuff on here, even then.

Let's see it ...

I'll take an AP story over anything you've linked to from a website here.

And, once again, I didn't offer my comment on the original story. I posted it to foster some discussion, although I guess hoping to avoid the usual right-wing sniping was too much to ask.

All you posted was the ramblings of a disgruntled America hater in his "memoirs" whose corruptness is seen by all except you... I guess you think Annin was a saint too..:lol:

Oh no, there was none at all. Please.

A "disgruntled America hater" ... now there's an unbiased view.

No, cammando, not everyone sees it like you do. A lot of us can see both sides of an issue, a concept that you know nothing about.

The story I posted was an AP story about his book ... it didn't take a position one way or the other. You might want to try and read some news sources like that sometime.

Annin? I have no idea who you are talking about ...

I didn't quantify it all .. I simply asked where it was.

Truth be told, it seems there are more on this board expressing left-of-center views than there were then.

You know, RTS ... when I ask a question, it's because I don't know the answer. I'm wondering what this "extremism" is that you saw on this board.

You said ElBaradei was a credible source... I've proved that other people around the world think otherwise... Again, where is your proof that he is credible.. Koffi Annin was the head of the UN until he was caught up in oil for food scandal..

I think his name was "Annan" ... I didn't recognize it, as you typed it.

And ... hate to burst your bubble, cammando, but I'm not a UN apologist.

I said that ElBaradei's position made him credible and knowledgeable on the subject ... I've never said whether he's right or wrong on everything, because honestly, I don't know. But his comments are noteworthy, whether you think they are or not.

Cammando, all you proved is that some people disagree with him (wow, what a shock?) and that one person made an allegation of corruption on ElBaradei's part, one that you tried to pass off as factual. I simply called you on it.

OK we will leave it at that... But I would still love to see your "credible sources" you speak of all the time...

I just told you a few posts ago ...

Wow. I missed this part... Way more than one person and world wide organizations have made the allegations against him. The only thing unproven is what the check was for.. The Iranians stated that it was support for the freedom effort in Egypt... I'm sure you believe that too..

From the Associated Press: During his tenure the Egyptian-born diplomat, who shared the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize with his agency, was criticized by the U.S., and some other IAEA members for comments on Iran, Iraq or other nations under examination for possible violations of nonproliferation commitments. He was accused of straying from the strictly technical commentary he was mandated for to making politically tinged statements that sometimes clashed with Washington's interests. "Unfortunately, ElBaradei is likely to remain part of the problem, rather than solution, if he becomes increasingly unwilling toward the end of his term" to rein in his views on the Middle East and other issues that hew closer to positions held by developing countries than the U.S. and its allies, wrote Schulte.

Quoting ElBaradei as saying that the IAEA will "go through the motions" of trying to probe alleged secret nuclear work in Iran and Syria, the cable suggested the agency chief was remiss, adding he "seems poised to continue to place the onus on the U.S. and others to 'solve' the Iran and Syria issues."
