Bradley got a new coach. He asked for his release.

Pretty good player to be out on the market this late ...

Where's he going?

He has re-opened his recruitment, and he should get plenty of offers.

I agree. Keep us updated if you hear anything.

Any chance UL might try and jump in on him? What about Butler, Cincinnati, or Western? I'm just thinking local, there could be many more. He was the second best guard I saw this season, behind Hickey.

He has received his release. Demling says the first two calls he received were from the Big 10.

First call was from Penn St.

X, IU, Butler, and WKU have also called.

I know the Bradley people are really disappointed to lose Abell, but credit the new coach, Geno Ford, for being gracious enough to grant Abell a release. Some schools wouldn't have done that, and I'm not sure I would if I was in Ford's position. This is another disadvantage of being a mid-major ... Bradley lands a good recruit and ends up losing him because of the coaching change and because the recruit knows he can get offers from more high-profile schools.

A little surprised Penn St is after him considering Juwan Staten recently transferred there from Dayton. I'd assume Remy is being recruited as a 2 because of his size and strength.

Sounds like IU is the leader.

Visiting IU on Monday.

According to J Demling:

The 6-foot-4 Abell said he has "basically" narrowed his list to five schools and will visit Indiana University tomorrow. Abell will consider IU, Xavier, Butler, Penn State and Western Kentucky.

He committed to IU.

Thought he would.
