Bishop Brossart 17 Silver Grove 0

Featured Replies

It took only two and a half innings for the Lady 'Stangs to derail and dismantle the Lady Trains of Silver Grove Saturday morning at Pendery Park. The Lady 'Stangs used 11 hits 8 bases on balls and three hit batters to score four in the first and thirteen in the second for a three inning 17-0 win. Alicia Miller struck out 7 of 9 batters she faced and earned a perfect game.

Catcher Lindsay Griffith had a 2 for 3 day with 4 rbis including a double while Thirdbaseman Gretchen Trumbo used a hit, base on balls and hbp to knock home four runs. Tricia Kramer, Natalie Woeste, Griffith, and Miller all had two hits for the now 12-2 Lady 'Stangs.

Tricia Kramer and Natalie Woeste scored three runs each in just two innings. The District Seed win keeps Brossart at a perfect 3-0 in the seeding for the 37th District.:ylsuper:

Impressive - good reason to post all the stats

In other news as important as this post, I rearraged my sock drawer, again...........For the love of god man, like this was some big achievement????? Nothing against Silver Grove, but let's be honest, there are freshmen teams out there that could beat The Grove. No one is impressed by these stats. There was probably a FC or an ERR or two that got counted as a hit according to the BOOK of MEL.

Ole geez woke up again consider the source and all games are posted. The funny thing is those who comment never go to any games of any kind in the spring hehe

My question is, you are playing a weak team and you know that going into the game. WHY do you pitch Miller? Is she all Brossart got? Please tell me their J.V. pitcher could have got this win. Its is nothing but a stat builder game to pitch her. If Miller is it for pitching, then next yr is going to be a long yr for Brossart.

Is this a mandatory game?

That will NEVER happen. Next year you will not see a post from the Big Green Horse cause the "Stangs" will be on the other end of a good old fashion butt kickin'.

Yes this game is mandatory due to district seeding.............so it must be played. I know on the baseball side Brossart, campbell, Scott all earned victories in five innings and piched some one well down the list as far as pitchers are concerned. Silver Grove on both baseball and softball are going to run some middle school players and freshmen out into the starting line up. When some players are 12/13 years old most teams that are really top notch adjust.

A very class quote; "It took only two and a half innings for the Lady 'Stangs to derail and dismantle the Lady Trains of Silver Grove". Considering the source, you would think that a little more respect would be shown. While the Grove does not have a tremendous amount of talent, they are the children of a parent and there are some really good kids on this team and for "Big ole Green Horse to beat his chest about this one...... well I guess I have proved my point.
