Then make him veto it. Pretty simple. Apparently Boehner doesn't want to pass it.

 

BTW I have also heard that the military will not lose there pay in that they are essential employees. The issue really is who sends out the checks and does the paperwork. Those folks have said they will continue to pay the military and just recoup the funds when the gov't is up and running again. So essentially the bill is really just a distraction to score political points because the military will get paid even during a govt shutdown.

Amen. We all agree (and we have an amendment to prove it) that terms limits are important for the president, mostly for fear of a dictatorship or something similar. But that's only 33% of the government. Why is it a must to get the president out after eight years, while it's accepted and almost encouraged that we send the same legislators back to Washington term after term after term?

As far as I know they reached a new agreement. What they almost let happen to the men and women of our armed forces is atrocious. Every single one of those clowns needs to be sent packing.
