Troy Murphy may be looking to take his "limited" talent to South Beach as well...

 

He think he is still hurt but I am not sure and it looks like he is going to Boston not Miami.

He'll strike fear into the Lakers and Celtics bigs. Gasol and KG have historically struggled against Troy Murphy. I totally made that up.

And now ESPN has an article out stating he has choosen the Celtics over taking his talents to the Super Friends.

 

Miami gains Bibby, Celts gain Murphy. Advantage Boston.

I'd take his experience over Chalmers. Chalmers gets a ton of open looks. The Heat put themselves in the position where they have to try to get everyone who was bought out.

Wade or Lebron will be guarding him in the playoffs especially in crunch time.

While he may not have the most big moments at the end of games, I think LeBron is far from a choke artist. I've seen him play live about 10 times, twice in the playoffs and have yet to be disappointed in his late game performance. Now last year against Boston was pathetic, but I don't even count that because I feel like he "gave up". Maybe I do count that though, I'm not really sure.....

Last year's performance is why he'll forever be known as a choke artist IMO. The going got tough, and he quit on his team. Champions/Winners don't pull that garbage. LeBron will never be a winner.

That's kind of how I feel. But I feel that it was only a half-quit though. I think he checked out on Cleveland more than he backed down because Boston had the better team. JMO and I wouldn't argue if someone said they thought it was a little of both.

I think the difference in Lebron and some of the greats that he has the potential to match or eclipse is that basketball isn't his life to the degree it was for some of the others. I could be totally wrong about that, but that's the impression I get. No doubt he loves the game, but I don't sense the desire and obsession over the game that I sensed from guys like Jordan or Kobe (those aren't the only two).

 

I'm also not saying that is a good or bad thing. In fact, on a personal level, I'd almost applaud him a little if that's the case. I'm not sure it is good to be so obsessed with something.

His numbers were other worldly for someone that quit. They were just really really good for a guy that didn't quit.

Agreed. He can say what he wants, but what seperates him from the two you mentioned is their singular desire was to be the best ever. His is to be a billionaire. Nothing wrong with either desire.

The hate for lebron is absurd. Of course he is going to choke occasionally. When you have the ball in your hands at the end of every close game, then you are going to fail sometimes.(and he should have the ball in his hands because he is the best player in the league)

 

And saying that his "desire" to win isn't as high as others is just crazy. Maybe he hasn't had the team that someone of the others have had. But because they actually had a supporting cast, their "desire" to win was wayyyyyyy higher than LeBrons.

 

And I don't want to knock Jordan or Kobe because they are unreal too. Jordan is by far my favorite player ever, but saying Lebron doesn't want to win as bad is ignorant.

^ If you can tell me with a straight face that Lebron didn't quit in last years playoffs, you're insane.

I don't know if he quit. That's impossible to know. I do know that Lebron should probably win MVP every year and he more than likely would have brought multiple championships to the Cavs if they gave him any help at all.

 

(And I know he won't and realistically shouldn't win MVP every year, but he is the most valuable player in the league.)
