How about this finish?

This season the Pendleton County High School boy's basketball team lost seven games on last second and/or overtime shots (one in triple overtime).

Friday night was the 38th District Title game at Harrison County High School.

Pendleton County trailed Harrison County by 21 with five minutes remaining.

They were down 17 points with three minutes and 34 seconds to go.

But with a minute to go Pendleton County sophomore Mason Monroe tied the game with two free throws.

With 2.8 seconds left Harrison County hit a jumper to go up two.

It all led to this: A shot by Pendleton County junior Gabe Antrobus......to win district.

Congrats to the coaches and players.

If you want to write a book or brochure about everything you could possibly do to lose a game, this game (Harrison) would be the game to write about. Poor FT shooting, even worse defense, and even worse luck at then end of the game where Harrison had two defenders on the player recieving the pass and the PC player still ends up with it. Amazing game.

IMO I thought the biggest difference of the game in the last 1:50 were the two and-1's PC got. Harrison had no intentions of playing defense, if that is the case just let the guy go, dont foul him. I think PC got two in a row and converted both free throws which was an additional 2 points Harrison gives up. Essentially that could have made it a 4 point game at the end rather than a 2 point game (which I do realize other things could have happened as well), and the 3 point shoot is irrelavant.

Districts would be bad, but losing to a shot like that in the Regional would be murder.

I agree about the and-ones being the turning point of the game. Both of these were by Monroe.
