The Stands Are the Best Place

Featured Replies

I'm not sure why in all of these years of sports that no coach or official has figured out that the best place to watch a game that would allow you to officiate or coach is from the stands.

Why the coaches in the 33rd fail to take advantage of this is beyond me.

Officials? Why run up and down the floor when you can sit comfortably and rest your legs?

Heck, at least Hicks/Mullins/McQueary would have access to some great basketball minds if they sat in the stands.

Who's with me?

I know when I am in the stands watching a game, I have all the answers and always know what adjustments to make. Not to mention that I am currently undefeated.

I do appreciate educated unbiased comments from certain people, but most have zero clue about the game and have never played it, coached it or officiated it. Often times, I choose to sit alone so I won't have to listen to all of the "expert opinions".

I must admit that it is easier to make some calls from further away from the play because you see the entire play, not just what's right in front of you.

True dat.

Or you can do what many other people do, and just look at the color of the jersey. Seeing fouls then is easy!

I do that as well, or at least sit with someone who does not "coach" or "officiate" during the game.

I'm with you on this call.
