I would say over 90 percent of the time people steal so they can get money for drugs its a sad world we live in and it is very hard for people with these problems to get help I know first hand my ex wife got into drugs she went from having everything she ever wanted to living in crappy mobile home in Ohio she even rarely see's are kid.

If some low life broke into my car the only hope they would have is getting jail time because I would hunt them down myself.

When I was 23 I worked night shift my car got robbed they stole my cell phone and used it I got every number they called so I called all the numbers and finally found out who they was I got my hands on them before the cops did but I never got my stuff back its a horrible feeling finding your car robbed. The best part was I thought it was my ex girl friends new boy friend that did it so I had a run in with him then I got my cell phone bill and found all the phone numbers that was called. But back when I was 23 you could beat someone up and get away with it. Now days you get in a fight your probably going to get in trouble.

Not saying I disagree with you because i wouldn't go looking for them but the sad reality is there usually isn't much the cops can do.

I can't believe people break into cars as much as they used to with all the security cameras around seems like no matter where you go just look up and there is a camera.

My thoughts are that if it is for drugs it's possible she could get some kind of diversion or atleast have to do some sort of counseling rehabilitation. Either way if this girl is young hopefully she can get her act together. Regardless theer are too many variables not known in this case that will factor into sentencing etc.

Usually you are right. But they'd have as good a chance finding the theif as the victim. And in the scenario we are talking about, they would be able to accomplish something if they find the theif, whereas the victim would likely only get in trouble for doing something stupid.

She's big-time into drugs, and is 21. Apparantly she told the judge at her arraignment or whatever it was, that she wasn't going to cooperate with the things he asked her to do, so it's looking like a minimum of 15 months. Her family is hoping it's much much longer.

That's both sad and pathetic but ultimately that's the life of someone that chooses to do drugs.

Hopefully she can get some kind of help before it gets worse but they say they have to be willing to get help first.
