Boone County junior forward Sydney Moss recently scored her 2,000th career point. The all-state Division I recruit, who first stepped onto the scene as a seventh-grader at Heritage Academy, has played four and a half varsity seasons. At the pace she’s on, she could finish her career with roughly 2,800 points. That would be good enough for fifth place on Northern Kentucky’s all-time scoring list for girls’ basketball.

I'm curious to see that list as well. How many of the players played before the 3 point shot??

I know that Jamie Walz played with the 3 point shot and I believe she played varsity 6 years. Jackie Bearden played before the 3, not sure with Klette.. Donna Murphy may have only played 2 years of Varsity because she graduated in 1976. Girls basketball was a varisty sport starting in the 74-75 season, I believe. Have to do a little more research.

Donna and I were friends in high School and remain friends today. She was the best girls player in High School I have ever watched. Having said that, I missed Walz's career. Jackie Bearden was a joy to watch, as well.

My wife just informed me that Donna Murphy played 3 years, 1974-1976.

I've seen highlights of Murphy on the "Great Balls of Fire" documentary about KYHS hoops. She played like a man.
