Final from Alexandria

Scott will be a tough out come tourney time. They always are.

Pretty convincing win at the always tough "SY Dome"

The District tourney will be a dandy.

Kellen Smith has 25 and the Eagles control the game throughout. Mustangs cut the lead to 8 with about 2 min to go. Haynes for Scott played only a couple of minutes.

This sets up a Brossart-Campbell County district semifinal on Weds. 2/23. Should be a dandy. Scott will play on the same night against the winner of Silver Grove/Calvary Christian.

Scott 61 Bishop Brossart 49

Scott 16 17 12 16 61

Bishop Brossart 9 8 13 19 49

Scott (14-9) -- Haynes 3, Smith 25, Daugherty 3, Stivers 5, Jackson 9, Farris 10, Roberts 6.

Bishop Brossart (13-8) -- Verst 5, Fardo 14, Norton 6, Trentman 2, Schultz 4, Saunders 10, Jennings 8.

Scott gets a big road win to lock up the #1 seed in 37th District. Kellen Smith with 25 points and 11 assists to lead Scott. Scott's second leading scorer Cameron Haynes was limited to a couple of minute due to an ankle injury suffered last week.

On a side note game was stopped in middle of first quarter to recognize Kellen Smith as he became the all time assist leader in Scott HS history. Nice touch from the Brossart folks. :thumb:

Ive watched a lot of Tenth Region bball over the years and it seems like this district is always tough. Thanks for the District preview, I was wondering how the seeding looked.

Way to go Kellen! It was a very special night and a great victory for Scott...

Kellen I believe now has 622 career assists at Scott and broke to old record at 613 early in the game last night. He is a very special player! He does a lot of other things that do not show up in the form of a stat too. He has my vote for Northern Ky. Player of the year.

Brossart did make a nice run towards the end of the game but Scott was simply too much for them. This was the second night in a row for the Mustangs and I'm sure the constant pressure that Scott applies wore on them.

Good luck to both teams in the district.

Great performance by Kellen Smith.

High-energy player who has been "the man" with the Scott Eagles for his high school career. Continues to get better/stronger each year.

Congratulations on becoming the Eagles' top all-time assists leader!!!

Congrats to Mr. Smith on the assists record. And it's nice to see that folks keep track of the dimes and not just the points.:thumb:
