I know Kobe has matured a lot but he ran Shaq out of town while Shaq was the most dominant player in the league, I couldn't see them winning any rings together. They would have the potential to be scary good but I think they would just end up wasting Kobe and Melo's talents more than they would maximize them if the two played together.

Kobe is so much better than Melo and he has proven he can win as the man. I think Kobe would be for it.
February 10, 201115 yr ^ Is Melo happy now? The only reason he isn't happy now IMO is he's worried about getting to a place he wants to be while still getting paid the max amount of dollars.

Not to stray too much off topic, but it take two to tango and Laker management went with Kobe. Can't say they made the wrong move. It always cracks me up the perception is Shaq was a choir boy and wanted to stay in L.A. with Kobe but Mamba would have none of it.

But the NBA is about talent and star players. The more you have, generally speaking the better team you have. I think they could co-exist, but not sure at the expense of weakening an already suspect front line.

But honestly I doubt this would be a straight up trade and you know the Lakers are going to attempt to get back some front line presence.

I'm starting to think that the truth isn't what it seems in this instance. It is somewhere in the middle. Kobe has to be difficult to work with, no person is denying that. You always have a clash of egos when you put together superstar caliber talent. Kobe/Shaq/Phil, Jerry Jones/Jimmy Johnson, Barry Bonds/Jeff Kent, Guns 'N Roses, etc.
