The officiating was bad both ways and in both games. Refs are part of the game like it or not. To comment that the game was called in either teams favor is inaccurate. To assume that others in the stands see it the same way, is not fair to those professionals. If Walton got more calls than Highlands, it was because they had to (and did) become more aggressive in taking the ball to the hole when Highlands switched to a man-to-man defense.

I am not assuming anything. Go back and find a post of mine where I complain about officials in the last 2 yrs and you likely will find NONE.

 

WV won the game because they faught hard and made shots in the 4th qtr. They scored 21 of their 51 in that qtr. The Birds had a chance to go up by 1 with under a minute to play but Stewart's 5 footer in the lane rimmed in and out. They also had a shot to win it with 2.4 sec left and didnt get it done.

 

Congrats to the Bearcats, they have a nice program and solid coaching staff. Best of luck in the District and Regional tournament.

I'd bet my life the game wasn't at Pendleton, I've played there many times.

 

It was at the Laurel County Christmas Tournament.

The 8th Region is way different than the 9th as far as style of play, therefore it is officiated differently.
