If everyone was playing for Lewis Co, this is a good win for the Muskies. Congrats to the Greenup players. Lewis is now 8-8 and should be playing much better at this point in the season.

 

The previous wins on this streak came against the likes of::bunny:

 

Green Co 1-14

Morgan Co 2-12

Raceland 2-12

and Boyd Co 7-7 against a weak schedule

GC put jv in in into the 4th quarter or the score would've been much worse.

The last two wins were at greenup , its hard too beat 8 !!!!!!!

How did Smith and Riley do for the Lions? Seems that when Smith is not hitting, the Lions have trouble getting it into Riley and things snow ball.

If you are hitting close 73% of your shots don't really matter who is playing or not.

Lewis had their JV in way before Greenup, GC had 2 starters(Lithicum and Bond) in the game until about 2 min to go. GC still played a game that would have defeated anyone in the 16th. Congrats!

I beg to differ! If you are playing three teams with a total record of 5-38. I doubt there was any defense put on them. I know GC in long. So I bet most of the shots they took were layups off fastbreaks. Most fair to good teams that shoot mostly layups/dunks will shoot at a lot higher %. I don't think Green 1-14, Morgan Co 2-12, ect play much defense! Or can rebound with GC. Greenup won't shoot that percent vs a Ashland, Elliott Co, Russell ect. It will be 40%.

Well, you'd be wrong. Williams made shots beyond the arc, in the paint, same with Stevenson. GC didn't exactly post up Lewis and shoot layups or have a bunch of runouts. They beat Lewis soundly with a scorching floor game. It wouldn't have mattered who they played. If they shoot that % tomorrow they'll also beat Ashland.

In the Boyd Co game Greenup shot 34% and Boyd shot 33% .

Greenup came back down to earth @ Ashland last night. The Tomcats could have laid a hundred on them had they chosen. However, the Muskies schedule is soft :bunny:and they will win a lot more games.

 

GC has far better athletes. However, they have no guidance or conditioning. The players were all sucking wind in the second quarter bending over to try and catch their breath when Ashland put up 38 points.
