Featured Replies

I know the season is young, but we've had several games now to evaluate players, and with the holidays, we'll have several days without basketball games. So here's my list. Thoughts?

1. Jake Thelen, CovCath

2. Trevan Brown, Boone County

3. Chris Hayes, Holmes

4. Brandon Hatton, Dixie Heights

5. Zeke Pike, Dixie Heights

6. Jake Giesler, NCC

7. Bobby Stauffer, Ryle

8. Donnie Cheatum, Lloyd

9. Dvontae Bradley, Cooper

10. Tyler Fangman, Beechwood

Honorable Mention

Brady Hightchew, NCC

Tyler Hodges, Conner

Christian McClendon, Holy Cross

Patrick Towles, Highlands

Jack Stewart, Highlands

Travis Jones, Newport

Travis Montgomery, Boone County

I agree with HoosierDaddy with maybe Brandon Hatton being 1A though.

Trevan Brown, Jake Thelen, Brandon Hatton, Chris Hayes and Zeke Pike are my top 5.

I'd go with the following:

1A. Trevan Brown (Boone)

1B. Chris Hayes (Holmes)

1C. Brandon Hatton (Dixie)

4. Jake Thelen (Covcath)

5. Jake Geisler (Newcath)

6. Bobby Stauffer (Ryle)

7. Zeke Pike (Dixie)

8. Dontel Rice (Holmes)

9. Matt Trammel (Dixie)

10. Travis Montgomery (Boone)

Hayes and Hatton both had big games again last night.

Hatton finished with 23 against Ashland.

Hayes finished with 27 against Knox Central.

By my count Thelen is averaging 20 PPG. Not sure about rebounds.

I've got Trevan at 21 PPG.

Drew Baker from CovCath has to be be an honorable mention based on his 3 assists away from a quadruple double alone. He's a difference maker.

Agreed. Not top 10 but a key player in the region. His ability to block and/or alter shots doesn't show up on the box score.

I agree, as well.

His presence one of the biggest reasons why the Colonels have been so successful thus far.

For Holmes:

Chris Hayes: 17 ppg

Dontel Rice: 13 ppg

Jaleel Gray: 11 ppg

I'd consider both Hayes and Rice top 10 players and put Jaleel Gray in the honorable mention.

I'd go with the following:

1A. Trevan Brown (Boone)

1C. Brandon Hatton (Dixie)

9. Matt Trammel (Dixie)

10. Travis Montgomery (Boone)

First 9 are good. I'd probably go with Fangman , Towles, Stewart, Hassel, or Stansberry as #10.

I agree with "Clyde"

Baker should get props for sure. Too early on Birds Stewart and Toweles have only played a few games but both are avg double figs.

By my count Thelen is averaging 20 PPG. Not sure about rebounds.

I've got Trevan at 21 PPG.

Jake is now at a little over 21 PPG.
