Northern Kentucky is the mecca of high school football in Kentucky

One division that's set up for dominance does not make you King, IMO. Two divisions of sustained dominance and two more *competitive* divisions makes you King.

***I use the term competitive loosely.

Word you do. ;)

If both LexCath and LCA win I wonder if the Mountains will be the King of KY Football next week? :D

I don't think we have to worry about anyone calling the mountains a mecca of any of sport.

I do, however, feel that if you were ranking areas of the state with football in mind, Northern KY would be #1. Calling it the mecca of football is a little strong, but I'd still rank it #1.

In the mountains, we aren't even sure what 'mecca' really means anyway. ;)

Of course, if you extend it back a little farther than '90, I think Louisville takes the lead in total title appearances.

Again, 4A is set up for a Louisville team to make the finals. Not saying they don't earn the trip every year but look at this way; what if HHS and CCH played in the semi's on different sides of the bracket every year. Or NCC and Beechwood. A lot of times that is the State Championship.

But NKY probably has more state titles...the 'Ville is at a disadvantage because when those two schools meet for the title, only one can get it. While, HHS and Beechwood are in separate classes, so both can win.

Your numbers are right, I double counted a line somewhere.

I wasn't disagreeing with you, just pointing out some information about the numbers.

Well, I didn't learn what it meant at Breathitt High.

It took a college education for that. :D

Yeah, or imagine if Male and X played in a different class. ;)

:thumb: I'm glad it wasn't more as I was running out of fingers and toes! :D

I was just making sure 02Ram54 wasn't going to use that as an, "I told you so." :p

Lets put it this way: NKY rules the kiddy pool, Louisville owns the deep end. ;)

They very well could've if Prop 20 passed. :D
