I keep my profile pretty restricted, however I do feel that if you really don't want people to see something, don't post it in the first place. As far as FB being idiotic, if you don't like it, don't use it.

I have reconnected with many people from my youth. I had no idea where these people had moved to over the years, but found them on facebook. The more you connect with, the more old friends it leads you to. I have enjoyed "talking" to people I haven't seen in 30+ years. Most recently, a facebook calendar was set up for meals for a friend with cancer. It filled up in a day. There ARE good things about facebook, you just have to use it appropriately.

 

 

Now, I don't usually like what my college aged kids put on there, but I guess they have to learn that lesson on their own.

I don't disagree with you I just think that is the true definition of irony. Facebook was made by college students, for college students and it sometimes gets a bad rep because of college students.
