How about a 5 class system

Featured Replies

I could see it something like this if the powers that be would allow teams to play up in class under certain conditions. I think trinity and St X should play a national schedule and represent Ky in some national TV games. That would give them alot of exposure and give the stat alot of exposure and we could all root for them against other states premier teams...

Here's a look at how I think it could play out:

Under his idea a school could play up.

But I don't see him placing T or X anywhere?

Read opening statement..T and X would be playing a national schedule, getting on TV and playing other states Top tier private schools...The KHSAA would have to allow T and X to play instate schools, as well, such as Ballard, Highlands, BGreen, Male, Manual and a few others...If each could play 4 to 5 instate schools and 5 to 6 out of state powers, I think it would be great for them and for the state.

I did read the opening statement, you can still play a "national schedule" and still play district games and play in the playoffs! Why would T and X agree to not play in the state playoffs and for the state championship?

If they could be in a 4 or 5 team district, they still have 5 or 6 open dates to play a "national schedule". I would guess they would then become the unofficial new members of the GCL. But they would still want to be able to contend for a KY state title.

I love it!

IMO T or X could not compete against the BEST teams in the NATION. I think 5 classes or 4 are not a bad idea. I still have no problem with 6 and we might as well not worry with it at least for 4 more years.

We in McCreary County would Love this: Reason we have been tied to Bell County since 1987 when we started Football, it would be a relief to get away from them.:jump::jump:

Nice theory but as Trinity is already experiencing, finding outside state competition is tough to schedule home and home opportunities each year. Thanks to Fayette County and now Jefferson County's boycott, Trinity has 4 open dates for next season. I have full confidence Dennis Lampley will work things out, but what has taken place within this state to cut T & X out of the KHSAA schedule is pathetic.
