Dixie is hurting, but I think they're also one P.O.'d team at this point, and likely pretty dangerous. I know nothing about Montgomery County, and I'd like to see them come to Highlands for the round 2 game, but I think next Friday will be a rematch between the Birds and the Colonels.

Montgomery County hosts its first home playoff game in 12 years. I haven't followed the team much this season but i know the coaching staff led by Dan Gooch will have these boys ready to go on Friday night. Good luck Indians!!!

Will Pike be permitted to play this game?

He played the last one, so I don't know why he wouldn't play in this one.

Keeping Pike in the pocket and forcing him to beat you with his arm vs. his legs seems to be the blueprint to success vs. Dixie. Not that his arm isn't strong - it is - but he seems more comfortable running over people than chucking the ball down field.

Your blueprint may be outdated. Earlier in the year that may have been the case, but I think his completion percentage is 65-70% over the last 3 games. He seems to be much more comfortable in the pocket from what I've seen.....

Agreed...Pike stayed in the pocket much of the game against Boone and picked them apart with his arm.

He has improved by leaps and bounds as the season has progresses. He has truly become a dual threat QB that can hurt you with his arm or legs.

I'll take the Colonels in this one in a somewhat high scoring affair.

Dixie- 35

Montgomery Co- 21

#3 in the district #12 in 5A in the state.

Pretty good district.

I really know very little about Montgomery Co. but I do know Dixie brings a very deceiving record into this game.

Dixie Heights 35-7.

Agreed. Dixie's 5-5 record was against top quality competition.

Does it really matter if they win this game or not? NKY 5-A runs through FT.Thomas. Dixie season will end next week get ready for basketball.
