In this thread we need to focus on the positives at Ryle and not each other.

Ryle will have to work even harder and stay very focused to achieve their ultimate goal this year and to continue to stay on top in the future. Success is a result of hard work - not much luck involved in my opinion.

Being that they beat what has been called a "mediocre" Highlands team by 2 points on their home turf I hope is not what Ryle's ultimate goal is; it sounds like a lot of the fans feel like they have reached the mountaintop. I hope their goal is to be perennial State Championship contenders, which they have not yet shown they are; one blowout loss in the Finals does not a program make. Congratulations on a good win- absolutely, but nothing more than that. They have much work to do in the playoffs!

I'm not sure which Ryle fans feel they have reached the mountaintop. I do not get that sense from reading other posts. They just beat Highlands in a close game. You are correct in your hope that their goal is to be perennial State Championship contenders, a very tall but attainable order if players are willing to sacrifice and put in the work year round. Ryle is certainly a very good program, but not a great one. Great programs win championships.

So now it's a "mediocre" Highlands team? But I team many think will still win a state Championship. Also out of the last 38 games only one team has beat them, that being Ryle. Why are people now acting like this is nothing more than a win and not really a big deal at stopping the 3rd longest winning streak not in Kentucky but in the country!?!

Ryle is heading in the right direction. Hopefully, they can continue building their program to challenge the Big Boys in 6A. It looks and sounds like they are.

 

On a side note, why does the BGP Gods allow the same person to continue to jack threads? It's getting old MODS and RU!!!

Parents of all you great middle school football players considering moving to or around the Cincinnati area -- Ryle is a great public high school academically, has a beautiful new turf field and a really good football program (as well as other outstanding athletic and academic teams for your sons and daughters).
