Breathitt's Channing Fugate to get start

Featured Replies

Congrats to Channing, UK continues to to offer the WRONG kids from Kentucky, and let the warrior types out to other schools. Think about some of the kids they have wasted scholarships on from other parts of the state and the ones they have passed on.

He's a FB. Im sure we'll be ok and find a FB. Yeah it was a real shame that we pulled kids like Andre' Woodson, Jacob Tamme, Keenan Burton, Micah Johnson etc... they were corner stones for our program for several years.

Who are you thinking of?

I hope Fugate excels at UT. And, I hope the team does well...while he's there.

But, I'm not going to rip on UK because they didn't land him. I don't know what the situation was, if he was seriously recruited by them, etc. But, its flawed logic to say that UK should have signed him because he's getting a start for Tennessee. Maybe UK didn't need to sign a FB or H-Back. Maybe UK wanted him to play defense and Tennessee was willing to let him play offense which he preferred. There are numerous possibilities.

I'm just excited to see him getting to start as a freshman for Tennessee. I don't feel the necessity to criticize UK for not landing him.

Channing playing really well today!!!
