October 11, 201016 yr Author Who else is showing interest? Don't know. I guess we'll find out when he has his tryout.
October 11, 201016 yr Don't know. I guess we'll find out when he has his tryout. Maybe I missed a previous post. Does he have a pitching session for teams lined up?
October 12, 201016 yr Good try but I'm not the one that made the bet. I appreciate you thinking about me though. I apologize. I need to pay better attention to who I'm talking to. I'm also sorry for switching my avatar back to my name. I see it has been switched back to where it should be. My wife is always telling me I don't pay enough attention to stuff.
October 12, 201016 yr Thanks. It sounds like Patrick really screwed up by thinking HT could make a bet with him to where Patrick could get his avatar back. Sounds like he needs to go back to the Reds #1 avatar. It also looks like HT needs to step up and honor his bet. Boy I sure made a sucker's bet didn't I.
October 12, 201016 yr Oh, and for those of you who didn't think Homer took a long time to get warmed up.... I had seats right next to the bullpen yesterday and Homer started warming up in like the 4th inning to get ready for the 6th inning.

I had seats right next to the bullpen yesterday and Homer started warming up in like the 4th inning to get ready for the 6th inning. He's a starting pitcher. If he wants to start tossing in the 1st inning so that he's ready to go in the 6th, that's fine by me.
October 12, 201016 yr Really? His old pitching coach is now in Cincinnati and he loves Brandon, and knows what Brandon is capable off when healthy. I sat next to Bob Miller ( Reds asst. GM) and Brandon's dad at a dinner in Portsmouth last winter. He told him the Reds had money saved up to sign Brandon after he becomes a free agent. Brandon will be looking to sign a 1 year deal loaded with incentives. If the Reds pitching coach and asst. GM are urging Walt and Bob to take a chance on Brandon if they feel he's healthy then why do you have such trouble seeing that happening even if the Reds are loaded with young arms? :thumb: That's all great news. It's the type of move that a small market team typically needs to make. Although I don't see too much upside within the game of baseball for Webb with the move, I'd welcome him in Cincinnati. If nothing else, he could prove invaluable to Leake & Wood.
October 12, 201016 yr From the "no kidding" department: Reds .124 BA and .160 OBP are the lowest ever for a division series. At least at the game I attended on Sunday, it looked like unprofessional hitters out there, seemed like most of the batters were out to knock the ball out of the park.
