Bama had better get back to running the ball or they'll lose another game or two. The defense is good but it has more holes than the ESPN talking heads would allow you to think.

Buckeyes do not play Michigan State, now is that right?

I think its a bit premature to rule Alabama out of the title picture. They dropped to 8th...there's only 7 undefeated teams ahead of them. None of the BCS teams ahead of them have looked invincible, and all of them have tough games ahead of them to finish undefeated.

 

Ohio State travels to Wisconsin this weekend, and has a game @ Iowa later in the year.

Oregon has several opponents left that could bite them on any given weekend.

Nebraska is beginning a 3-game stretch of Texas, OK State and Missouri, and then the Big 12 Title game if they make it through unscathed.

Oklahoma still has road games @ Missouri, Baylor and OK State, and the Big 12 Title game. They or Nebraska have to lose.

 

Alabama can take care of Auburn and LSU themselves. And, I think a one-loss Alabama that wins the SEC Championship game will leapfrog an undefeated Boise State or TCU.

 

The Tide need some help, but I think there's decent odds that they get it. They just have to take care of business on their end.

How could we be certain of that? Add in Nebraska next year and the Big 10 is going to be a scary conference to play in. In a gauntlet of OSU, Wisconsin, Iowa and MSU I think there is a great chance at least one of them would knock off the Tide or anyone else this season.

Other than playing Michigan every year I think they rotate teams where they do not have divisions.

'Bama's biggest problem is that darn near every game they play is against an SEC team coming off a bye week.

They play 8 conference games. So there are two teams that they don't play each year. Just like SEC. Difference is in the SEC to be the best you have the championship game, so even if the team wasn't on the regular season schedule they have to play for the title. It is possible for both OSU and Mich State to go undefeated this year. This should be the last year though. I'm assuming there will be a Big Ten championship starting next year when they go to 12 teams.
