After seeing both East and West play Garrard County that was my reasoning for picking East Jessamine. I thought their ability to control the line and run the football would be the key. Doesn't make West a bad team, just not quite as good as East this year.

In the 4A standings threads more than a couple of people want to say that West Jessamine is a top 10 team and that people should watch out for them in the playoffs.

I never said that they weren't improved or having a great year. In the 4A standings thread more than a couple of people hopped on the West Jessamine bandwagon and tried to say that West was a top 10 team and that they would make noise in the playoffs. I said they were 7-0 or 8-0 at one point last year and still couldn't score a single touchdown on Boyle County in 2 games last year. That isn't making noise. This year they start off hot(weak schedule....once again) everyone hops on the bandwagon again and now they are looking at 3rd but most likely 4th place in their district which means they'll play an even better team in round 1 of the playoffs this year. Chances are they'll be out of the playoffs sooner this year than last. All I am saying is be realistic when it comes to West Jessamine. And then they lose to East Jessamine. Right.......they'll be a force in the playoffs.

 

Let's see if either of the Jessamines can even beat LexCath before we start saying they'll make some noise in the playoffs.

I agree with PurplePride92. I don't want to take anything away from the Jessamines but I think it was proved that West Jessamine is not a top 10 4A team. That said, I can't wait to see West Jessamine host the Rebels this week so that we all will have an idea of where they stand.

I see. I hadn't read those 4A threads. West probably is somewhere between 10-15 in 4A, but I don't think they'll make any type of playoff run. What will be interesting is to see how East and West stack up with an obviously weaker-than-normal Lexington Catholic team.

I am looking forward to that also. There is a real possibility that LexCath could get the 4 seed if we are to believe the hype about the Jessamines. It is no secret that you can run all over Catholic and that is all East Jessamine does. Very intriguing.
