This game was closer than I thought it would be. Somerset is a great team what concerns me is will the lack of competition late in the season hurt them in the playoffs?

It's been circulating calm down I said I don't believe it. People have nothing better to do but to guess and opin. Some of the fans have heard comments from people close to him (supposedly). Personally, he can do what he wants it's high school football not the NFL I am not nor are others who have heard IT overly concerned. Somerset will always be Somerset and always be a good job. They are a great program period. So that is where the HECK I am getting it from.

I heard he might be headed to McCreary County. Is that what you heard?

That would probably be better, I think Caverna could take the Raiders down this year, and beyond. Anyway, back to the subject....If you didn't think it to be a valid rumor, then why post it? Or were you just trying to stir stuff up? If you don't think it was true or you have no reason to believe it then leave it alone. Look we aren't too worried about what you've heard or think. We're worried about winning the next game and clinching the district. I guess if we didn't have to worry about that we'd worry about the coaching carousel. Have fun with that.

The issue with the coach and fans started when the coach was right above the Somerset parents and said that our players were playing dirty football. There had just been a tackle and late hit called on Somerset which was an additional 15 yards for GC. Coach should have been happy for the yards, but when he very loudly was complaining about Dirty Football after just the first penalty of the game several parents took exception to him taking a shot at our kids. I know he was talking on his radio to other coaches when he made that comment but parents will always defend their kids when some one else is talking about them. The same Coach was later repremanded by one of the Somerset fans for his language, which to his credit he did come down later and apologize for the profanity.

 

I know coaches and fans get would up at games and say a lot of things the other side would get mad over. That's why I was wondering like Avg Joe why Somersets coaches and film crew were above the GC fans and the GC coaches and film crew were above Somerset's. That makes no since especially when there is a tall tower behind the GC bleachers that no one seems to ever use that would be perfect for GC coaches and film.

 

This officiating crew is IMHO one of the worst. There are a couple of good refs on the crew but for the most part, they are not very good.

I would like to add one more point here, the play they're talking about here involved my son and another Somerset player...the "late hit" flag was thrown by an official right in front of our fans and the coaches started yelling "he needs to be thrown out of the game"... and then he went on and on and on...but in fact, "the late hit" was actually a SHS player hitting his own teammate (my son) in the head, in celebratation of the stopped run. The Garrard Co. player would have scored if not for the run down by #14 and #2. I had just started videoing my son on that play and have a video clip of the entire play if the GHS staff would like to see it... I know this play was brought up again a little later in the game with them about SHS playing dirty.

For the record, Garrard County did an AWESOME job hosting the game. Everyone was very friendly and professional!! It made for a great high school football setting. Just wish we could say the same about the officiating crew. LOL!! Best of luck the rest of the season Garrard Co.

HAHA...no man there are several good ones as you know. This is the same crew that did game one of the Correll Bowl, they have a couple of good refs on that crew but a few seem to be missing basic motor skills :lol:

This score is not real shocking. I thought Coach Scenters team would have put up a few more points. Who is Garrard's defense coordinator? Garrard seems to usually give up a lot of points.
