BUT there are still 3 districts with Louisville teams so there could still be a championship game with 2 Louisville teams.

 

I posted this same information in another thread. But this thread is more focused on the subject of 6A districts 3, 4 and 5.

 

These districts did not change their make up between 2007 and 2010 except for one school change - Oldham County takes the place of Shelby County. Since both are to the east of Jefferson County this should not have changed any 'driving distances' - the supposed primary factor in making up districts. All the districts had 4 teams in 2007 and they have 4 in 2010. So without any change to the supposedly objective criteria KHSAA uses - the districts were radically modified.

 

Sometimes the whole act of limiting the 1A and 6A to 32 teams and reshuffling the other classes looks like a smoke screen to again try to put artificial limits on certain schools. Since nothing really changed for these 3 districts between 2007 and 2010 the realignment of these districts looks very arbitrary and capricious (threw that in for the legal beagles).

Jefferson County school system doesn't view Moore/Fern Creek as traditional as Male/Butler. The name "traditional" name is on the schools, but its not a true traditional. I went to the showcase of schools today with our son. Fern Creek/Moore had their own stations, and Male/Butler were under the sign Traditional schools. In fact Male had a sign that read.."we don't come to the showcase, call the school if you have any questions."
