Is this now the weakest class as far as competition goes?

Bowling Green could win four in a row.

Look, I am on the Bowling Green as the favorite train as well, but you really need to remember that the past two state runners-up are not leaving 5A. Both Christian County and John Hardin are still in the way, along with Warren Central. We'll also have a chance to see if Greenwood can step up. I think Bowling Green will get at least one, probably two titles. I don't think they'll get four.

Now, I will go this far: I predict all four titles are won by the "west" side of the bracket. There's not a single team in the east I'd take over a likely western rep.

Also, yes, this is probably the weakest for competition.

Why does 5A district 7 have 6 teams and district 8 six teams? Why not move say North Laurel into district 8 to even them out. Whitley Co. has to drive past North and South Laurel to play two of their three district games.

I'm hearing that some of the crazy alignment issues may be corrected by the board of control, before the final alignment is released.

There is a golden opportunity for a few schools in the eastern part of the state to become major players in 5A. I think Conner, Cooper, and Harlan County are all teams that could really make a name for themselves in this class.

Is it safe to say that this class might have a different state champ every year?

No, that is not safe to say.

Id have to agree with Dragonfire. BG is definately a favorite, but wont win all 4. I also agree that the west will likely win all 4 years.

You might check some of the HC Freshman and JV scores from this year. In two years HC will have an impact on this class...mark it. Freshman are undefeated & every game has been a blow out. JV lost 1 to Bell at their place however agenged the loss at home.
