Now I want to give some real praise to the team that deserves it the most..............the Paris Greyhounds! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

This bunch came in here with 12 football players! One kid went out in the 2nd half and the 5ft., 100lb substitute came in with Paris finishing the game with 11 total.

What pride and guts those Paris kids show....all teams should have kids with desire like that! :thumb::thumb:

Kudos to the Paris coach, staff and parents as well. You are a class act that obviously care abput your kids.

Maybe some "others" :sssh: around your school might one day have the heart, desire and yes....khunas that this football team has shown.

I wish the Paris program nothing but the best in rebuilding that once proud program.

Note on this one - went to a running clock late in the 2nd qtr and Raceland substituted freely with freshmen playing the 2nd half.

Good post oldrambler.

Congratulations to Raceland on the district win. As OldRambler said, the Paris 12 should be commended for having the guts to even show up and play given the circumstances.

Raceland has won 5 games this season by an average margin of victory of 33 points. Their 2 losses have come by an average margin of defeat of 31 points. Finally the Rams reach the portion of their schedule where some close games might be in store...Fairview, LCA, and Russell. Those should all be exciting games.

What you said is so true OR. Paris never gave up. Even down to the last second! Those five or six fans that showed. Those are real fans. They stayed till the very end!

Good win for the RAMS. Now we have to buckle down and get to work.

The heart and determination of the Paris team can not be measured. Those twelve are sticking it out and still playing the game. They were still fighting, down 55-12, even getting one last play off in the hurry up offense as the clock struck zeros to try to score once more. Even if they have not won a game, there is much to be learned by their example. Hats off to the players and coaches at Paris and good luck to them as they continue the fight.

Great post OR, I didn't know the numbers at Paris were this low. I am now a Paris fan having read this. Hats off to those kids and the coaching staff. I hope their hard work and dedication can pay off in a win or two at some point this season.

Good post oldrambler.

Thanks, I was really impressed on how their kids didn't quit and kept playing hard. They get LCA next week. I just hope they come out of it with enough kids to play/finish the season.
