Do you see the Western that lost by one point to the improving Male Bulldogs or do you see the Western that lost by three touchdowns to Butler?

No one has any thoughts on Western?

Western I am not really sold on right now. IMO there are atleast 2 teams better on the west side of 4A than

Western (Lone Oak and Allen County Scottsville) with Marion County and Collins on their heels. I have not seen Western play and that could change, but my first thoughts are Western is not best team on the west side of 4A.

Lone Oak made a believer out of me last year. Allen County Scottsville really caught my eye after beating

Greenwood on the road and giving them their only loss so far this year.

Western is legit. Very athletic and very competitive. I like Western's 1-point loss to Male a whole lot more than AC-S's win at Greenwood. Western was a hair's breath away from the win over a team with victories over Ballard, Central (36-0), and Eastern, and a mere 7 point loss to St. X. I don't really think Greenwood could match that record against that competition.

Come on Hatz.....you are being way too modest. You better thump your chest while you can. For Western to win it all they have to go through Lone Oak before they can earn the right to be defeated by Bell County,Boyle County, LexCath or Holmes. This year.......right now.....that's just the way it is.

Athletically, there is no question that they are tops in 4A. Truth be told, they could go toe to toe athletically with any team, any class. As far as which team will we all see? Who knows? Flip a coin.

Truth is, Western could be VERY good - and it not matter in a class that is very competitive. Lots of really good looking teams in this class are going to end their seasons with a loss. 4A looks to have a very exciting post-season...
