For the SK fans that keep bringing up Stephens, you're sadly mistaken if you think he's going to make any type of impact.

 

He has improved some since last year but there's a reason he rarely dressed varsity at Holmes last year.

 

He takes up space and that's about it.

 

Coach Steiner loves tall players that can eat space and pick up fouls hes had several guys 6 foot 6 or taller the last few years with no offensive game...about the only skilled big guy offensively that he's had was Josh Hurd...Steiner loves defense I'd say Stephens can alter a few shots:ylsuper:

I'm with Walter on this one. It was hard for SK to compete last year playing 3 on 5. If they ever put five players that could score on the floor at the same time they would atleast have a fair chance at winning a game or two at Region.

 

I'm not a genius but if you double up on Chambers, Sorrell and Gray last year, the other guys were challenged to score. You could definitely sag and offer help on them and not worry about hustling back to your man....

Doss is a big kid that can score. He did not have an opportunity to show much of that last year. I saw several games on JV and the offense was very guard oriented, with Doss the only big body inside. Doss can score inside, mid-range, and shoot the 3. In summer ball playing against some pretty good competition, he shot a very high percentage from beyond the arc. Most were set plays like a pick and pop with the point guard. He even represented his team in the 3-point contest at the Grand Nationals in Cleveland and placed 3rd overall. The kid can shoot the ball, but usually plays inside due to his size and lack of quickness.

Awesome news so Doss can be the offense down low with Stephens playing garbage ball and giving the team some fouls to give...They have very good guards that can score and a scoring big man makes them even more of a threat to win the region

Brien Foree that signed with EKU dropped out to work. I'm not sure if he played one season, but was an excellent player. Bradley who is the kid your are referring to just has to stay focused. He can sometimes be proned to get into trouble outside of basketball. Recently though I believe he is doing really well. I believe he has matured quite a bit in the last year.

I am sure with Rabe and Lockard helping out they will be fine down in the paint.

The bigs kids from Owen really hurt them in the regional last year, and with North Oldham having Rowan about 6'8 and Odlham having 3 bigs going 6'6, 6'5, 6'4 they better have improved and got alot stronger.

Apparently others will disagree. David has been contacted by a small DI school in Indiana and went on a official visit this week. They saw him play at the Adidas May Classic this summer and have been in contact with him. This was also the tournament that got him some recognition from Jody Demling of the Louisville-Courier, which is why he was named as a player to watch for the 2012 class. David is a great kid and deserves whatever good comes his way.
