Very familiar foes this week as these teams will be meeting for the 4th time in less than 24 months. This will be the fourth time in Somerset's last 20 games that they will have met the Engineers.

Estill Co. won the first game putting the Jumpers out of the playoffs to end the 2008 season for Somerset. The Jumpers won a hard fought game in Irvine during the season last year before winning easily at the Briar Patch during the playoffs.

Somerset comes in off huge win last week against Danville.

Estill Co. comes in off dissapointing loss to Garrard Co.

Estill goes foot to foot and pounds the ball 40-50 times a game. Can their big line wear down the Briar Jumper D?

What does Estill look like this year?

They still run the ball a lot. The quarterback is very quick and is a nice runner. The fullback and running back aren't exceptionally quick, but they are very strong and hard to tackle. Garrard's defense was able to slow them last weekend, but Estill didn't help themselves any by giving away four fumbles.

Somerset 42-7.

I think Estill is too one dimensional to move the ball consistantly on the Briar Jumper defense. That said, the Estill offense can shorten the game without scoring and give them a chance. I think Somerset comes out to make a statement since they might meet again in the playoffs. Briar Jumpers 42-12.

Jumpers have too much speed for Estill Co. Jumpers run away 49-12

Pretty quiet on this thread. Any Estill County fans have any view on the game?

Estill County holds on to the ball this week and wins by one over Somerset.

A lot of people a few weeks ago, especially pre-season, thought that Estill would win this game. On another unnamed area of the internet this game has been picked by several people as the upset of the week.

What does Estill have to do to win? What is there D going to put on the Somerset O?

Somerset has played well so far and must take this game seriously, to take care of business.

I think they will, a close game early before Somerset pulls away to win comfortably.

After seeing Estill County last week I would be absolutely floored if they went to Somerset and won. I know Estill is probably better than they played at Garrard, and you won't beat anyone turning it over four times, but I can't imagine how Estill will slow down the speed of Somerset. I think Estill can move the ball some against the Jumpers, but not enough to amount to a victory.

Estill's only hope is to hold the ball all night long and score on 3-4 8+ minute drives, while Somerset turns it over quickly on several possessions. But I don't see that happening. In fact, I think Somerset could win this big. Let's say Somerset 42-14.
