August 25, 201016 yr http://www.ukathletics.com/auto_pdf/p_hotos/s_chools/kty/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/cumulative-stats Those stats are as of Nov. 22, 2009. They don't include the bowl game. Including the bowl game Newton was 65-113-3 for 637 yards, with 6 TDs. Newton's Line in the bowl game was 13-23-0 98yds 1TD.
August 25, 201016 yr Good decision by Coach Phillips. Hartline is a winner against UofL. If he does not produce quickly we have more experience backing him up. Newman.... Are we of a differing opinion?
August 25, 201016 yr Being a fan? Forgive me for talking about my team, this is a sports board. Should we shut this thread down? Don't want people to think we're obsessed over UK football or anything. :idunno: Just find it odd that you claim to be a UK fan and have this Miami thing going on. Before you beat on Hartline any more, take out the Alabama and Florida games, 3 number 1 teams and a number 2 and then tell me how he looks.

Before you beat on Hartline any more, take out the Alabama and Florida games, 3 number 1 teams and a number 2 and then tell me how he looks. First off I don't care how you find it. 2nd, I make no bones about it Miami is my football team. They have been ever since I was smart and old enough to pick a team. I got with them right after probation and got to be a fan during the highs and lows of the program though I've seen more lows it seems like. I do love UK football, but they are a 2nd team I follow. UK basketball, Miami football, and UK basketball and overall love for the state of KY has made me a UK football fan, started during the Couch and Bonner years. I like Miami football just as much if not slightly more than I like UK basketball. Can someone not be a fan of 2 teams, especially when those teams never play? And if you're impressed with Hartline good for you. Doesn't mean that I have to be.:idunno:
August 26, 201016 yr But if you want nkysb, I'll check with you first to see if it's okay if I post about the teams I follow or even try to make a point at all.
August 26, 201016 yr Someone is awfully sensitive. I'm not too sensitive I just don't like people I don't regularly talk to on here to come by and talk smack. If you don't know that I'm a huge Miami fan then either you've never talked to me, are new, or don't usually get on the CFB board. Why is a big deal that I like Miami and UK? He obviously missed the point of what I was trying to say when I said Newton and Harris are incorrectly thrown into the scrambling QB conversation. Neither is fast (Harris is afraid to run), but both are said to be dual-threat.

I certainly wasn't trying to upset you and we have talked on here before about who we thought should be the starting QB this year. I guess we will find out soon enough if I was wrong. As for Miami, if they get through those first 4 games well they could be looking at a huge season.

I just want an ACC coastal title for the Canes and a top 3 SEC East finish for UK, I'd be happy with both. :thumb:
