Monroe County sends all the prayers possible. This is very tragic, The player, family, and football community will be in our prayers tonight and thus following. Please keep us posted if possible. It is great how this great state comes together for things like this. Prayers do work!!!!!!! God be with him....

I'm blessed to know Mykal from on and off the football field. He is a giant in so many ways, whether it his faith, leadership, or athletic skills. I know he has inspired many and will pull though with the help of God. All my prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friend. As a former teammate all my love goes out to him and the family.

Still about the same, in very critical condition. Students and staff at GRC, had prayer circle around the flag pole this morning. We are all praying for you Mykal.

George Rogers Clark High School football player Mykal Barnes is still fighting for his life this morning.

Barnes, 17, was critically injured in a crash Sunday night on Mount Sterling Road when his car slammed into a rock wall. Barnes remained in critical condition in the UK Medical Center this morning, according to a hospital spokesperson. “He needs lots of prayers,” Coach Columbia said. “We’re hoping he will pull through. It’s touch and go.”

Latests update is he has shown a slight improvement. Keep the prayers coming, and thanks for all the support.

The doctors had planned to take Mykal out of his induced coma this morning. Temperature is up to 101.2 and ICP scale is up. Please continue to pray for this young man.

ICP down from 19 to 17 Temp 100, fever

We have positive news, Mykals ICP is now at a 17 with a temperature 99.7. He is still at a critical/stable condition so just continue to pray for Mykals full recovery!
