The Pegasus Sports Network will be broadcasting second round action from Class 3A this week as the NORTH OLDHAM MUSTANGS (7-4) tangle with the ELIZABETHTOWN PANTHERS (4-7), live from Goshen, KY

Quite a matchup in Goshen, KY this week on the Pegasus Sports Network (http://www.pegasussportsky.com)

 

Class 3A Region 1 - North Oldham (8-4) vs. Central (6-6)

 

Both NO Coach Billy Martin and Central coach Ty Scroggins were coach of the year in their respective districts...

 

North is playing in their first-ever regional final (school just opened in 2003) and is led by junior FB Zach Evans, who is just 19 yards away from becoming the school's first-ever 1,000 yard rusher. NO, which plays a Wing-T, also has strong wingbacks in twins Austin (810 yards) and Cody Crawley (802 yards/13 TDs), who each have rushed for over 800 yards. If both Austin and Cody finish with over 829 yards this season, the Mustangs will finish the year with their top three runners from this team occupying the top three season -rushing marks in school history.

 

Cody Crawley's 13 rushing TDs tied the school single-season mark.

 

Central is led by Mr. Everthing Junior RB Anthony Wales - 2,458 yards rushing and 29 touchdowns, with an incredible 10.7 yards per carry. He is being recruited by a number of D1 schools and is one step from breaking every play for a TD.

 

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
