(I think I've got 25 or 30 of them now.) I kind of felt like I was cherry picking, getting that one right off the bat.

Well, Shake It does generally have the best selection of original blues lp's of the record stores that I've been to, but I got a good amount of my blues records from my dad - including probably 7 or 8 of my John Lee albums. I have also had the good fortune of walking into Shake It after they had some serious stockpiles of fantastic used vinyl added to their shelves. On one occasion they actually had a couple of truck loads (literally two truck loads) of really quality stuff dropped off. Both times I ended up dropping way more money on records than I had walked in expecting to spend.

Right now I have Straight To Hell, Darn Right Rebel Proud and Ghost to a Ghost. Love all of em' so far. I'm gonna buy more eventually.

September 26, 201114 yr Ships in the Night - Mat Kearney The lass and I and a couple of friends went to his concert Saturday night at Bogart's. Excellent show. Very very talented singer/songwriter. Have seen him three times now. Saw two talented gals open for him as well at different places...one was Diane Birch, who some say sounds like a throwback to Carole King and Ingrid Michaelson.
