My personal opinion is that he should stay. IMO, he's the right man for the job in Afghanistan. He just needs to stay away from the press. :D

Isn't this the second time he's been summoned for insubordination? He may be battlefield savvy, but he lacks political deft. Word has it he has tenured his resignation, the only thing left is if Obama will accept it. I think it's time he goes.

I think that it would be prudent in this case to dress him down in private, make a public statement in support of his job performance relative to doing the job he's tasked to do, and keep him away from the press.

To be clear, are we talking about Biden or the General?

ABC News interview with the writer.

The General in this case.

He obviously didn't use much wisdom in this interview but he is the right guy for the job. I think it would be a mistake to change leadership at this point in the game.

The General is the same general who tried to cover up the death of Pat Tillman. That leaves a bitter taste.

Despite repeated insubordination? That's risking a lot...

I think he should go. You just can't put up with that.

That has to be a key factor.

However, the President said that the #1 factor will be the impact on the war in Afghanistan.

I do find it hard to believe though that the General can be kept with showing public contempt for the President. If you're on the front line what is your morale when you hear the general say what he said?

Patton wouldn't last a week with today's media.

He said what probably every other soldier is thinking............
