It implies it's not up to anyone how many threads I start about Obama, nothing more.

 

To be fair, it's I who has decried the number of threads. Others have agreed with me, but pretty much, I'm usually the one who's pointed it out.

RTS, I love the fact you open people's eyes on these topics. Too many are wearing blinders on both sides. I say "keep bringing it"!!!

Whenever I see yet another thread about Obama's alleged shortcomings, I'm reminded of Shakespeare: "Methinks thou dost protest too much."

Few pay attention to what I put on here so I throw in my 2 cents and move on.

 

IMO - post what ever you feel passionate enough to post about. That's what leads to good conversation.

No and that's not what my intention was. I mean to say that if a person believes those things they should have a reason to and thus it can be debated on the merits of the available evidence rather than simple insults. I don't believe there is an objective or absolute answer to every issue.

 

I agree. But, the same talking points get re-hashed over and over. Eventually, the conversation has to end, or devolve into what many of the threads ultimately become.

 

When a person feels like the stakes are the country itself, well, they may be a little passionate about it. It's tough.

 

Personally, I don't care about whether Obama is bi-polar, or if he drank American beer at the Beer Summit. I certainly lean conservative in my world-view, but I'm simply tired of the status quo politicians, Republican or Democrat. Obama got elected because enough people believed the lie that he was different. Ultimately, he's just another politician. His history could have told anyone who cared to know that was the case. However, the problem is, I'm not sure we can get out of this cycle. At this point, I'm not sure change is really possible. Or shall I say it this way...change is coming. Unfortunately, I think it's going to be a meltdown that brings it to pass. I have little faith that we can institute the kind of changes that are necessary to prevent the looming catastrophe. Our system is broken beyond repair.

I understand why he's confused, because I never said I cared how they respond to them, just that it made no sense to me to read something that bothers you. You're going out of your way to pick an argument with me it seems, we used to get along pretty well. It's as if you've had some bone of contention (other than what's been discussed) with me for a while. PM me, I'll give you my cell number and we can get at the root of what's really up.

Hmmm, interesting that the guy that truly disliked Obama a while ago questions my dislike of his performance.

 

You can tell me how much you disagree all you want, I welcome that. Just don't whine about how many threads I start as it's no concern of yours.

Obama has done very little of anything that I like and I'm sure not afraid to admit that, I'm darned proud to admit that I don't like the direction he's taking the country.

Anymore, as liberal as you seem to have become, I disagree with the vast majority of your posts as well. Seems the left has a new member. :lol:

Also, if growth is railing on someone else because they have the audacity to post how they feel then growth isn't what it's cracked up to be. He makes absurd statements claiming I hope Obama fails when I've said from the start if he fails we fail. Yeah, he's grown alright.

It's not really personal, the thread was a legit question of why one (like UKMustangFan) would bother reading something they've admitted they're so "turned off" by.
