Several or couple? My son is a junior now but during his 8th grade year we saw two kids who played 8th grade ball with LexCath Middle but during the KBA 8th Grade State tourney they were playing with different schools.:idunno:

That team had the same kids (all from parochial schools) 6th-8th grade. A couple of them were from Frankfort (Good Shepard) and now go to Franklin Co. They probably played with Franklin Co. starting that summer since that is where they were going to high school.

6-8th grade when my son played, we always played them at least twice a year and that LexCath team was the best middle school team we faced all 3 years. We got better against everyone but them. They always destroyed us. I enjoyed watching Ross play.

You are right...they do lose some kids to other high schools and other sports, and they gain some kids...a la Sanford, Beckham. The middle school program is a feeder system where kids play the same offense/defense as LC. It does create a challenge when players come in during high school that don't play the same offense. Of course, other programs can have this challenge as well.
