Maybe Bramblett had a bad try out. There were three try out sessions in two days and if you didn't bring your "A" game you got left out. But to say we will wonder why we lost......WOW! :idunno:

I'm sure people feel that way about a lot of players today. Did you attend tryouts?

There is usually some politics involved with the All Star team selection - always will be and there is usually someone left out who probaby should have made it. No easy way to do it unfortunately. I would hope that the three try-out sessions had more to do with it than the politics though.

And there's always a head or asst coach that gets one of their kids on the team year in and year out. Five (5) kids from the Louisville area on the team? I must have missed something this year because I didn't realize that the 6th and 7th region had so much more talent than the rest of the state.

I did not attend any of the tryouts. I did however talk to several top coaches today, both high school and college. They all agree with me. Time will tell.

I attended each of the tryouts. Bramblett not making the team is a joke! A Division I player with a very versatile skill set and loses out to kids who couldn't guard her in a phone booth.

 

Can't say I will be sitting in the stands at any more of these "all star" games.

Bramblett should have been on the team over at least five of these players. No questions asked. She played well on both ends in every tryout and was a good leader for the players at each session. I had seen her one time before this past weekend and she was easily a top 7 player on this bunch after seeing her up close.

Bramblett is a quality player. Tryouts are based on opinion and impressions. A committee voted for 9 players, Miss Kentucky gets an automatic spot, and the Head Coach picks 2. Unfortunately for the kid and her supporters, she was not part of this 12. She will now move on to a good college career...not much anyone can say/do about it now. So everyone moves on.:deadhorse:

I attended the Mini-Camp for the Ky All Stars. The coach spoke with the girls and explained to them why each one was picked and he said the players that were picked were ALL TEAM PLAYERS that work well together. Sometimes a great athelete is too much of an I player and does not always work well with other great atheletes. My understanding is all the girls that tried out were geat athelets. So to say 1 was better than 7, well everyone has an opinion.

So, you are implying that Bramblett was left off because she is a selfish player or a player with a bad attitude? Ask anyone who has ever been around her, coached her or played against her.

 

His comments mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about that player.

Well, I'm glad to see Jackie Alexander of Rockcastle made the team. She will be sorely missed at Rockcastle this next season and she is very versatile. She will represent us well....Congrats kid and good luck at West Point!

Well you wondered wrong on this one! Ky. went 1 and 1 with Indiana! This group of girls played very well together and never gave up! Indiana had practically all D1 players and Kentucky had a select few! Sometimes its not just true talent that wins games, its team work!
