Headed to Vegas :jump: in Mid July...Any suggestions in regards to resturants, clubs, casinos, and shows that I must check out? Thanks!

Where you staying? I just got back Sunday, had a great time. Ellis Island is a must for a good cheap steak, whether its for dinner or steak and eggs for breakfast. They have a breakfast special right now that has 8 oz. ribeye, 2 eggs, potatoes, toast for $4.99. I believe they have a dinner special of 10 or 12 oz. ribeye, potato, salad and one of their micro brews for $6.99.

What are looking to do?

Staying in the Wynn, intention of trip is to see Garth Brooks in concert.

One of my favorite things to do is to start walking. Go from hotel to hotel, stop in have a drink, go to the next one. Each hotel is so different and create their own experience. I did not like the cirque de solie, though everyone else does. We did the Tropicana show last time. It is a throw back in time to see the show (and that what the show is about). You can find cheap tickets to any show in various kiosks throughout the town. Don't pay full price.

A lot of the better shows are people that are up and comers, like comedy especially. They really work hard to make sure you have fun and usually a lot cheaper. Wynn is very nice, have you stayed there before?

I've been before but trips were back in the day with family, this should be a different story!

Ditto on Ellis Island and the Steakhouse at the Circus Circus is the best in the city. Lotus of Siam is the best for Thai food and possibly the best wine list in the city.

There's a Joe's Seafood (not Joe's Crab Shack) in Caesar's Palace that is awesome! They have the best stone crab claws I've ever put in my mouth!

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get the Garth tickets and how much did they cost you?

Vegas is great and I've seen a ton of concerts...Garth is still one of my favorites. I too would love to here how you scored them if you are willing.

Tried to get them origionally and they were sold out. Got an email from the Wynn of a 24 hour offer for tickets if two nights were booked in hotel. Tickets were 149, hotel room was 300 total, plane ticket from Cincy 350 each. Tickets are IMPOSSIBLE to find outside of the Wynn as you have to have your name put on them at time of purchase, only person with id matching name can enter venue with the ticket...quite interesting!
