This is a shot in the dark but are there any other fans of Dr. Who on BGP?

Dr who???

:ohbrother:

Should have seen that coming.

Hugely popular show in Britian since the 1960's-1989. Brought back again by the BBC in 2005. More of a cult following state side.

I kid of figured that's where you were going with that. :p

Given its obscurity here though I figured I was better safe than sorry.

What's it's premise?

It is very adventure oriented. A bit unusual though, it is somewhat difficult to explain. More the kind of thing you need to see to understand.

I got my boss into it and after he watched a few episodes he understood why I had a hard time explaining it, getting caught up in the details detracts from the experience.

I've seen big chunks of a few of the old series and have now added the most recent incarnation to my Netflix queue and really look forward to watching it.

love Dr Who in all of his Re-generations

The 4th is my favorite by far followed by the 9th.

Although the regeneration from 8th to 9th was never actually seen. Funny thing is that the 8th has had more appearances in stories than any other even though he had the least screen time.

Had a roommate back in college (mid-late 80's) that used to watch it, but never got into it then. However saw the promos that BBC America was pushing about a month ago about the 50th year anniversary, and ended up tuning in just to see what they did. Now, over the past two days, have caught parts of a marathon they've been running. Included in last night's run was a new episode in which the 11th Dr.'s run came to an end. Today's episodes have featured more of the 10th Doctor. Have to say I like him better than the 11th.

Interesting. The episode on right now has David Morrissey (the Governor from "The Walking Dead") on it right now, playing another Doctor.

I can't believe I missed this thread. I'm a Whovian from way back. I used to record episodes on my Betamax from the local PBS station.

I'm very interested to see where the show goes now that the Doctor has just regenerated again.

The thing that I'm interested in is to see if Clara continues on as the companion. Have established a little crush on her in the past day or so.
