April 12, 201016 yr Very well could happen, but I wouldn't count out those Celtics just yet if I were the Cavs. They know a thing or two about winning in the postseason. I just can't see it happening. They needed all of 7 games a few years ago and since then the two teams have went in opposite directions. I could see the Celtics going out in round 1 if they play the Heat, though I think they'll advance. I don't think the Celtics can score enough to beat the Cavs, Magic or Hawks.

I agree, but I'd still rather play the Hawks in the Conference Semis than the Celtics. If Garnett, Allen, and Pierce are clicking, they can still cause a whole lot of problems IMO.

The Hawks are something like 1-6 or 1-7 against Cleveland and Orlando thus far. They've had a heck of a season, but they're kinda like Phoenix IMO, good season, but no chance at knocking off the Lakers (or in their case Cavs or Magic)... I'd be pretty shocked to see anything other than a Cleveland vs. Orlando Eastern Conference Finals, but if any other team could sneak in, I'd put my money on the Celtics.

They have alot of athleticism which could come in handy against some of the slower, older bigs of the Cavs, and they would be one of the teams most capable of guarding Orlando's perimeter play. They would have no answer for LeBron or DHoward though. If it's not the Hawks I don't think anyone else in the East has a shot at all against the Cavs or Magic. I actually think the Heat or Bulls would have a better shot at taking down one of the big 2 in the East than the Celtics (but neither really have much of one I don't think), Boston is just too old.
April 14, 201016 yr What about Phoenix? I don't know if they could win the West but they are a scary team. Amare Stoudemire has been playing like a top 5 player in the league since the All-Star break.

A few years ago they didn't even pretend to play D. I think they'll play the Lakers in nasty 7 gamer in the West Finals. More and more people don't pay taxes so maybe Phoenix has a chance.
April 15, 201016 yr KD won the scoring title tonight. Just officially. He kind of won it about 4 games ago..... LeBron will regret not going after this title when he's finished playing I bet. I think you should always try to win the scoring title when you can. It would have been close, but some effort could have been made. As a fan I loved him sitting out though, no sense in risking injury. Well at least they try to play defense now. A few years ago they didn't even pretend to play D. I think they're the last team in the West the Lakers want to play. Steve Nash would abuse Fisher, Stoudemire would embarrass Bynum or Gasol when they were guarding him. I could definitely see a potential series between the two going to 7 games, since the Lakers are far from healthy. But I still see the Lakers winning the West, and the Mavs beating the Suns in round 2. Maybe that's just because the Lakers are the team I would want the Cavs to play if they got to the Finals.:thumb:
