I did say the nastiest on offense in the post and I don't think there's a good argument for anyone else. Every basket he scores is a dunk in someone's face.

Well by saying nastiest I thought you were implying he was one of the best were you not? This happens because of Steve Nash, Amare is a fraud.

First you laughed because you thought I said THE best. Now you're changing your story. Well, for everyone else in the world besides you I think most would agree that Amare is one of the better post players in the league. Where he ranks I really don't know, but I would imagine it's in the top 10 and probably in the top 5-7 if we're going on current on the court performance.

Not that I care HT but what's your personal vendetta against Stoudemire? I don't think anyone thinks he's more than what he really is. He's athletic, strong as an ox and can dunk on just about anyone. He has no ball skills, and his shot still needs some work. Who's ever said anything that would make him a fraud? Sure he needs a great playmaker around him, but with Nash he's a pretty nice player.

Right now Stoudamire has over 11,000 points, nearing 5,000 rebounds and I believe he is still just 28 or 29.

 

You figure even with a halfway decent 2nd half of his career, he could easily finish near 20,000 points and 10,000 rebounds. I can't disagree that having Nash helps him a great deal, but you wouldn't put up those kind of numbers unless you were HOF material.

I assumed you meant one of the best in the game by saying nastiest post players. Amare can't defend, barely tries to rebound, can't get his own shot and pretty much can only dunk. I don't have anything against him just saying hes fools gold thats all. He is a good player just not as good as everyone thinks. Take Nash away and hes just a bit above average.

I'll be mildly shocked if Phoenix doesn't beat Portland in 5 or 6 tops. I'll be sort of shocked if they don't beat Dallas. I will not be shocked if they beat LA. I think Dallas will have big problems w/ SA. Phoenix is really good IMO. They have good enough depth to win it all.

Why? Nash gives him the ball in a position where all he has to do is jump as high as he physically can and dunk. You take him away from Nash and his numbers are very average.

While he's not much defensively he has more game than you're giving him credit for IMO. He has some nice spin moves in the post and he has a nice shot at about 15 feet. He's made a living off dunking but if people can't stop it why not?

Oh you mean...sort of like Dwight Howard?:sssh: I don't want to hear that Dwight has more offensive game because you can't say he does while taking away what Amare does. Amare can shoot out on the floor at least. And doesn't Howard have a higher percentage of his points from dunks than any player in the league? Doesn't he lead the league in dunks? And Amare still scores more......

14 and 9 as an 18 year old rookie (in his 5th year of playing basketball) playing with Stephon Marbury says that he will probably put up good numbers after Nash is gone..............
