April 13, 201016 yr That is was speed is so important. Stubbs legged out a ground ball that many 5% of the MLB could have beat out and then Cabrera followed with a Bomb.
April 13, 201016 yr http://cincinnati.com/blogs/reds/ Here is what Fay had to say about Bruce pinch hitting the other night.... The Reds talked a lot about Cabrera being a winning player this spring. That’s a winning play right there. Of course, if he had gotten thrown out, it would have been a losing play. A lot was made of Jay Bruce pinch-hitting in the seventh. One factor in that was the Reds needed an outfielder since Miguel Cairo had hit for Chris Dickerson earlier in the inning. (Bruce was also 1-for-1 with a walk off Sean Marshall before the at-bat). They could have hit Micah Owings or Paul Janish, but then Cairo would have had to play right. He’s played outfield before, but I don’t think he did at all in the spring.

April 13, 201016 yr Wow Mike Lincoln actually didn't give up any runs... Looks to have that 2008 curve ball back. If he gets back in that kind of form, this bullpen can be really good.
April 13, 201016 yr Figured it would take around 7 runs to win this game and that's what it looks like now
April 13, 201016 yr Lincoln can drop the hammer. It's amazing he's even on the roster anymore, though.
