All this talk about Vegas got me wanting to go. It's been since 1999 since I've been so I called my travel agent and made reservations for me and my wife in June. Staying at the New York, New York and they threw in 2 free show tickets to see Lance Burton. Got direct flights going and returning between Vegas and Louisville on Southwest (Bags fly free). Can't waite!!

It is a good time for Vegas, I am going in May for 7 days. Flight and room at Mandalay bay for under $1,000. I will be there on business but that is dirt cheap.

Seven days in Vegas is four too many for me, even if I was there on business. I love Vegas but I have only left there a winner once.

Yes, three days for me....four days for work. It is a long time to be in the world of Neon lights. I will try to survive.

5 days is the longest I have ever stayed in my many trips out there, mainly for reasons dealing with cheaper flights and also working around days off work to keep from using so many vacation days. I think the Mandalay is a cool place, gambled there a few times and been there to watch a Roy Jones fight, but they have never offered much in way of comps. If your work stuff is there I guess you have to stay there, but for that price I would recommend gambling some at a Harrah's casino and get a rewards card. They are always more than generous with rooms, food, etc. for a future possible trip.

I highly recommend the Dam tour. Quick ride out there and an amazing site.

 

We always rent a car in Vegas. Easy to get around and valet is free anywhere you go.

Never rented a car in Vegas, too much partying to temp that.

North of town is a place called Red Rocks (not the amphitheater) but really a pretty neat place to drive to. it's about 30-40 minutes out of town and you drive a 4 mile loop or something through the cliffs. Lots of people do rock climbing out there.

Heading out from work after lunch tomorrow, going to airport for a 6pm flight. I got a layover in Dallas and then in Vegas about midnight our time. Can't wait, been since July, long time for me.
